Advertise Your Restaurant

Dear Restaurant Owner,

Chicago Critic (www.chicagocritic.com) is Chicago’s oldest and most-visited theatre reviewing website, reviewing well over 300 productions a year. We are thrilled to announce a new advertising campaign designed to link theatre patrons with neighboring restaurant businesses.

Here is how it works:

Your small banner ad will appear on each review of all the theatres in your businesses area, and a text link reading “Nearby Business Offers” will appear on the right widget of each review. It is common for restaurants to advertise in a Playbill or Footlights. The optimal time to have a potential patron view your advertisement is at the moment they are deciding which show to see. Chicago Critic’s visitors use our website to decide how to spend their evening; having your advertisement on all reviews of shows playing at venues near to your restaurant maximizes your exposure to theatre-going patrons. Your restaurant will have an icon on our theatre maps which will be posted on each review.

Currently, Chicago Critic has a growing average of 2,208 unique visitors per day with 10,395 page views. Our hundreds of loyal visitors are clicking on at least five different pages to read our reviews and theatre articles every time they visit the site. Your ads will target an affluent demographic of theatre-goers, and make their decision to dine at your restaurant prior to their show an easy one.

Our introductory offer to restaurant owners is as follows: For a limited time, for one year of advertising on Chicago Critic the cost will only be $69 for one year. Your business will have a prominent widget  advertisement as well as a text link on the review pages of all the theatre venues near you. In addition to these targeted advertisements, we will link your restaurant to our Sponsors directory.
