Advertising Campaign for Chicago Critic.com

1042 unique visitors per day and climbing! www.chicagocritic.com is growing quickly. The premiere Chicago theatre website, Chicagocritic.com covers local stage plays with concise informative reviews, feature articles, venue information and classic theatre opinions. Chicagocritic.com is becoming the place for information about theatre and the personalities involved. Actors, directors, playwrights and producers visit the site to discuss and promote their show. Sophisticated folks read our reviews.

This targeted, niche audience is ideal for certain demographics. If you advertise in Footlights or Chicagoplays or Playbill, than Chicagocritic.com should be included in your advertising campaign. Actually, Chicagocritic.com gets more visitors than any of the print theatre programs. We averaged 1042 unique visitors per day and 31,260 visitors on our URL in May, 2008

If theatre patrons are your target, than Chicagocritic.com is your bulls-eye. For only $125 per month, you can have banners, a full-page review of your business plus links to coupons or special offers to our visitors. We’ll include mention of your business in our newsletter.…All for only $125 per month with a four month minimum. $500 gets you going here! (long term rates available)

Restaurant/Bar Advertising Program

Chicago Critic.com

Advertising Program

For only $125 per month, (four month minimum) you can get your Restaurant or Bar as one of the recommended in the Theatre District.

$500 gets you “recommended” on our website plus you get the third month free

We have designated 20 Theatre Districts in the metropolitan Chicago Area. Each District is located near several theatre venues. 78% of theatre patrons dine out before seeing a play.

The concept is that theatre patrons want to know which restaurants they should eat at before the show and possibly after a matinee. I get many emails each week asking my recommendations for restaurants near a given theatre. I’m also asked which bars are best for late night drinks after the show.

What theatre patrons want are my reviews or recommendations and they want the places I recommend to be near the theatre venue. They would love to only park once to eat and see the show or see the show, then have some drinks then retrieve their car.

Example, in the Near-North Theatre District

We have the Steppenwolf Theatre, the Royal George Theatre, Second City and Piper’s Alley. We will only recommend three restaurants and three bars in that area, (North Av. & Halsted).

Each restaurant and bar will be reviewed by Tom Williams and one guest (usually another Chicago critic.com. The reviews will be posted on the Chicago Critic.com website. Your review will be listed on the website with your special offer and or coupon.

Each restaurant and bar will get a mini-website or a full page on the Chicago Critic.com website with text and photos of the establishment, menu examples and specials.

Each restaurant and bar will get many banners, text links and photos located on or near the reviews of the local Theatre District’s current production. Each theatre venue in a given Theatre District will have banners and links to “Our Recommended Restaurants and Bars.” Each review will have your establishment’s banner or text link clearly visible.

Also, there will be a Special page for all the restaurants and bars with their special deals for theatre patrons including coupons and specials for those with theatre tickets. Your Special offer will be available to all viewers of the Chicago Critic.com website. All for $125 per month with a four month minimum…so for $500 let Chicago Critic.com help bring you customers.

Additionally, whenever we review a show on the radio show, we’ll be sure to mention the local restaurants and bars in that Theatre District…these are min-commercials allowed on public radio.

We are able to change you restaurant or bar’s offer or coupon weekly if necessary.

We need you to offer a Special deal for the theatre patrons using their tickets and/or the coupon they print off the Chicago Critic.com website. Something of value that will get the theatre patron to east or drink at you place when they’re in the area to see the play. The better the special, the more they’ll come to you.

Chicago Critic.com is a major website where theatre patrons visit often, almost daily to see what’s happening on the Chicago stages. Our stats show that we are averaging 1042 unique visitors per day and we are increasing that number each month. The site is 25 months old.  We had 31,260 unique visitors in May, 2008. The more hits, the more people will see your banners and links.

This is targeted, niche marketing at its finest. Be sure to get your restaurant or bar as one of the “recommended” one on this exciting website. You’ll also get some free radio promotions thrown-in.

Remember, there will only be a limited number restaurants and bars in a given Theatre District. First come, first served (as long as we give you a favorable review, of course.)

The advertising rates for banners, text links, a complete review, a mini-page with photos and sample menus items together and special email promotions to our subscribers will only cost you $500 for the first four months.

Please call Tom Williams at 773-549-0227 or email him at tom99@chicagocritic.com

We are offering a free month for the first sign-ups in each Theatre District. Get the third month free when you sign-up this month. Ask us about long term discounts.

Don’t wait, we are going to aggressively contacting know ‘theatre patrons’ favorite restaurants and bars. Don’t get left out….call now. 773-549-0227
