A roaring good time at Tommy Gun’s
Fellow critic, Richard Eisenhardt has told me several times about Tommy Guns Garage. He told me it’s a fun place with great food featuring some of Chicago’s terrific Equity song & dance talents performing. When they’re not working a Lincolnshire Marriott or Drury Lane Oakbrook, they’re probably gunning them down at Tommy Gun’s Garage. The floor show was outstanding. It featured a nice mix of Roaring Twenties numbers, cute comedy bits and some nice jitterbug and tap numbers. The audience interactive was clever and inclusive. This is the perfect couple’s night out. With easy parking and a nice 90 minute show, it’s a fun time. And, let me add, the dinners are amazing! I had the prime rib with baked potato. It was a generous portion. The talent double (in character) as our wait staff. I’ve not seen an audience enjoy a night out more. Sixteen years in business tells. A rotating staff of talented musical comedy players gives Tommy Gun’s Garage a workable formula for success. And da’ chef ain’t so bad either!
